The nursing home had an older generation ERP system that needed technological adjustments. The information system was made up of a lot of procedures only partly integrated with each other and by a series of applications in Access or Excel used to obtain and process information and statistics do not directly obtainable from management systems. The analysis carried out with the client identified as priority intervention areas:
- acceptance and management of admissions and pre-admission;
- acceptance and management of outpatient services;
- management of the administrative and accounting area.
EIDclinic, the vertical solution based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform, has provided software tools to manage uniformly the different processes of the customer, from the outpatient management for the administrative area, to reporting and business intelligence. The project of technological innovation has affected multiple functional areas: the proposed technological solution is based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform, whose standard version has been integrated with a range of features to meet the specific needs of the clinic. This set of vertical functionality is included in the add-on EIDclinic. The project has computerized the following functional areas:
Health / clinical management
- Patient personal data, performances and resources
- Admissions and pre admissions management and Medical Record
- Billing admissions (private, in private agreement or convention)
- Booking appointments (specialist visits, cycles of therapy, surgery, radiology services )
- Connecting with the laboratory analysis
- Management of radiology
- Prospectus for the calculation of fees for doctors.
- General Accounting
- Passive billing
- Fixed Assets Management.
The technological solution adopted by Cedars combines the functionality of the administrative area of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform with the capabilities of the specialist clinic of the add-on EIDclinic, ensuring full integration between the two areas and eliminating cases of duplication and risks of error in data manipulation. The new proposal has indeed integrated into a single unit in a single database all the data managed, completing the coverage of all affected areas. The result is a significant improvement in efficiency and operation, making it less onerous work of the staff and getting more easily and quickly all the statistical information and consultation. All application areas share the same graphical interface, very appreciated for the immediacy and ease of use. Users find the same layout and the same features of Microsoft Office applications, for ease and speed of learning and efficiency in the organization.
